BCPP reduced the use of natural gas by 40% and are one of the first Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers to introduce the energy management system ISO 50001. Since 2014 this enterprise has saved about 800.000 cubic meters of gas per year due to the reduction of natural gas consumption and the introduction of the new energy management system. BCPP has economically improved in all areas of the company: from the production department to the accounting department.

In the autumn of 2017, a new wood pellet boiler was introduced as well as a steam and a hot water boiler. They ensure a smooth operation without the use of natural gas to a temperature of -5 ° C. This energy-saving approach has allowed us to save about 700.000 UAH from the beginning of the winter season.

As noted Alexander Marinin, Director for Production and Reconstruction of BCPP, BCPP buys the wood pellets from Ukrainian producers. Particular attention in the operation of solid fuel boilers should be paid to the amount of emissions released into the environment. To obtain permission to use these boilers, it took us 3 years.

In 2017, 1.15 million UAH was allocated for energy saving measures, and the total amount of investments amounted to 2.98 million UAH. Savings from the implemented measures already in 2016 amounted to 966.000 UAH. The program for energy saving in 2018 is 850.000 UAH.
