A small enterprise ‘Artel named after Kirov’ was registered in Mykilska Borshchahivka, a suburb of Kyiv, which was a predecessor of Borshchahivskiy Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant. This enterprise’s first product for medicinal use was "brilliant green". At that time 10 to 12 workers worked in the workshop to manufacture this product.

In 1957-1958, the process of concentration and centralization of production in the country, and the increased demand for "brilliant green" led to the reorganization of the small enterprise into Borshchahivskiy Plant of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products. This date is considered the birthday of our Company, and the beginning of its independent history.

The products based on brilliant green crystals “Novikov’s solution” and “Corn solution” were launched at the beginning of 1961. Later, the antihaemorrhagic agent Vicasol, the first pills manufactured by the young Company, was added to Company’s product portfolio. Mint tablets, valerian tincture, stomach drops, Schizandra tincture.

This year, the Company started the manufacture of the product Allochol, which was jointly developed by the Leningrad and Borshchahivskiy Plants of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products, and became Company’s brand mark.

Some works were performed to improve manufacturing processes and quality of products. A sugar coating line was commissioned, which was the first line installed and used by an enterprise of the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

A number of new medicinal products were added to Company’s product portfolio, namely, the solution of novoimanin, 1% and 2% brilliant green solutions, alilsat, 5% iodine tincture, devil's-club tincture, buckthorn dragees, Vikalin, Raunatin, cotarnine chloride, and also cobalt chloride tablets for agriculture.

The plant began to complete civil defence/army first aid kits. Later the Company started to manufacture universal first-aid kits for the population. In 1974, the Company added a car first-aid kit to its product portfolio.

Borshchahivskiy Plant of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Products merged with the pharmaceutical association “Darnitsa.”

A new historical stage of the Company: the Company withdrew from the pharmaceutical association "Darnitsa." An independent joint-stock company was established. Rapid and dynamic development started. 36 product items.

A research and industrial centre was established, which combined the research and development departments with manufacturing departments.

New manufacturing sites of sterile and non-sterile antibiotics, reconstruction of laboratories of the quality control department.

The first GMP certification (“Certipharm", France) Exports to 6 CIS countries, Latvia, and Bulgaria.

The first national GMP certificate in the country. GMP-certification by the Republic of Latvia.

Manufacture of lyophilized and ampoule products. The new proprietary cardioprotective product "Corvitin", which is a "first aid" in myocardial infarction.

New production lines were commissioned to manufacture tablets, capsules, and liquid dosage forms. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates were obtained ("Prirost" (Ukraine) and “SGS” (Switzerland)). Exports to some countries in Africa (Ghana, Cameroon). Company’s Representative Office in the Republic of Moldova was established.

Reconstruction of R&D premises. OHSAS 18001 certificate («SGS» (Switzerland). GMP certification by the German State Inspectorate. Rapid growth in export and international market development: opening of representative offices in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan; sales of products in Vietnam and in Lithuania; the beginning of cooperation in the Balkans (Company’s representative office in Serbia).

The first SA 8000 (Social Accountability) certificate in Ukraine («SGS» (Switzerland).

Reconstruction of the manufacturing sites of sterile antibiotics, extracts and tablet forms. Company’s product portfolio is 125 medicinal products, and 10 veterinary medicinal products. The First Certificate of compliance with the requirements of ISO 50001 (TUV SUD, Germany) in the pharmaceutical industry of Ukraine.

The representation office in the Republic of Belarus was established.
