Active ingredients:

Nifuroxazide. 5 ml of the suspension contains 220 mg of nifuroxazide (220 mg/5 ml).

Nifuroxazide is an antimicrobial agent, 5-nitrofuran derivative. The antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties of nifuroxazide may be to its amino group. Nifuroxazide is unique by its local action as compared with other nitrofuran derivatives, because it does not penetrate any body organs or tissues, thus, it does not show any sestemic action. It is effective against grampositive and gram-negative bacteria: Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Salmonellae, Shigellae.

Afte ingestion, nifuroxazide is practically not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not penetrate any organs or tissues, and more than 99% of the ingested medication remains in the intestine.

In therapeutic doses, nifuroxazide almost does not inhibit normal intestinal microflora, does not cause any growth of resistant strains, and does not promote any bacterial cross-resistance to other antibacterial medications. The therapeutic effect is achieved starting from the first hours of treatment.
