The 21st International Pharmaceutical Exhibition CPhI Worldwide 2010 took place on October 5 to 7, 2010. This year, 1934 exhibitors participated in the event, including 114 companies presenting their products for the first time. Three Ukrainian companies, CJSC SIC “Borshchahivskiy CPP", JSC "Farmak", "Sinbias-Pharma" LLC participated in this event.

Representatives of CJSC SIC "Borshchahivskiy CPP" exhibited Company’s products having international dossiers. In addition, the Company demonstrated its willingness to contract manufacturing of pharmaceutical products: tablets, film-coated tablets, capsules (including antibiotics) as these production lines are GMP certified.

The exhibition area was divided according to the specialization of companies, which was an interesting and useful innovation that fully confirmed the motto of its organizers “less walking, more talking”. There were 6 sections: active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, fillers, synthesis of fine organic chemicals, contract manufacturing, and general area.

During the event many briefings were held, whose main topic was "Global sourcing strategies for procurement of materials and services".  The participants focused on risks and advantages of purchasing active pharmaceutical ingredients in China and India, features of contract manufacturing and contract research, innovative technologies. During business breakfast meetings, topical issues of pharmaceutical markets were discussed, in particular on the problems of counterfeit of medicinal products.

Analytical reports were presented regarding both the pharmaceutical market in general and the health product market. According to experts, in developing countries, buyers prefer branded products, whereas purchasers are guided by a brand name of suppliers in developed countries. The projected growth of the health care product market is 2% annually until 2014 with the United States and Japan being leaders on the market.

An exposition for InnoPack packed products is already being prepared for the CPhI Worldwide 2011, which will take place in Frankfurt.
